Rappler CEO Maria Ressa bagged the Noble Peace, announced on Friday, October 8, making her the first Filipina to win the award.

Filipinos congratulated Ressa for the historic award. However, the Malacaรฑang Palace has yet to acknowledge her recognition compared to how they quickly congratulated Hidilyn Diaz for bringing home the country's first gold during the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo gave her a congratulatory message, applauding her courage.
